I would feel ungrateful if I didn't express my deep love and admiration for my daughter, Madisen. She was away at Diabetes Camp this past week and I missed her so much I just about went crazy!!
Madisen was diagnosed with juvenille diabetes in February and has been braving all the challenges and changes that go along with it. I can't say enough how proud I am of her. There are things our kids do that I don't really like to "brag" about, but this is an exception for me because I have seen her being so strong and tackling this disease so bravely. I admire her so much for what she has had to go through, and what she will continue to do for the rest of her life! The best part about all of this is that she has continued to smile through it all and be the happy, outgoing little girl that I have always known. :) It has been so fun hearing her sing for us all the songs she learned at camp and I know that even though it was somewhat torturous for me to have her gone, it was one of the best experiences she has had in her life!!
